The “Effinergie” certificate

BBC-Effinergie® is the title given to low energy consumption measures for new buildings in France.  This designation is awarded to newly constructed buildings with very low energy requirements which contribute towards the 2050 objectives of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 80%.
Effinergie® meets the requirements of the Low Energy Consumption Buildings (BBC - Bâtiment Basse Consommation) certification with the additional obligation of measuring the draught proof performance of the building.

EFFINERGIE® certification is issued to all houses consuming a maximum of 50 kWh/m² per year which corresponds to the level “A” on energy consumption labelling.
